Grandma News

On Friday, June 13, 2008 June Bougan suffered a stroke in her home in Dallas Texas. After 78 days in the hospital, she moved in with Tim in Castle Rock. Mom has a long way to go, but she is making progress and she so loves to get cards and letters) - feel free to call Tim and Vicki for updates (303-792-2977). It will be a while yet before Mom is really "conversant" enough to talk on the phone but she does understand perfectly well and likes to listen to callers.

Hi June! Have not seen any notes on your progress in awhile so will assume all is progressing well! Certainly hope so. Gene and I loved our cruise in the Med -- and Dubrovnik is gorgeous! Did you know that is where men's neckties began? I didn't but do now. Bought Gene two gorgeous ones there. Busy as usual since returning the end of October. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and 22 will be here. Nancy has come down from Tulsa as her son Colin is graduating from his Air Force Basic in San Antonio on Friday so we will all attend. Excited for him. Keep in touch somehow. Can you email? Love to hear from you. Bev called Monday and she is as concerned as I am about not hearing from you. Love ya, Carol

Check every day for a note from one of you as to how MOM is doing and there has not been one for awhile. Does that mean that no news is good news? Put an update on Junie so I'll know. My love to all - - Mary Jane

Hi June, just a note to tell you I have been looking at your site and don't see any of those messages about your progress. Hope that will be available soon as I check every few days to see how you are. Spent a few days last week with Holly; will have dinner at Ida Mae's tonight and know that we will be mentioning you with fondness. Hope you are getting better each day. Love, M.

Mrs. B - When Tom left me the message about you I was so upset. It's been a long time since I've seen you in the hood in Fayetteville. This spring break we are going skiing in Breckenridge and will make a trip off the hwy to see you and Tim and his wonderful family (if he'll have us!). You're in my prayers.
Love
Gregg (not the waggot, that would be your son Timothy).

Hi June! I'm so very pleased with your progress! Can't believe how far you've come and how well you are doing. I'm so proud of you. I leave Friday for Indiana. G'daughter getting married Sunday. This is the one who just graduated from Law School. Her bridesmaids, moms, and the other two g'moms are all in navy blue so as I couldn't find anything appropriate to buy, just made one. It turned into a civil engineering project of gargantuan proportions, but the end product looks pretty good. It will just have to do. Then we leave on our cruise October 11 -- 12 days on the new Queen Victoria - Venice to Barcelona with a MAJOR stop in Dubrovnik. Wish you were going with us. More later. Stay well. Love ya, Carol

Dear Aunt Junie;
It is so good to hear that you are at Tim's. I have been planning to come see you the weekend of September 20 and decided to check the website to see how you are doing. So I was quite surprised to learn that you had moved.
I have been really busy with work; but after this coming weekend Rock Ledge Ranch slows way down and I will have more time to visit you.
I'm sorry it has been over a month since I've been to see you. I'll will call Tim and Vicki next week to figure out a good time to come.
Love, Toni
