Mt Buckhorn
This is an intermediate backpack with a fairly easy summit of Mt Buckhorn. We climb to Big Rock shelter on Friday night, break camp and climb up to Camp Mystery on Saturday. Once at Camp Mystery we drop packs and head up to Marmot Pass (6000’), then up to the summit of Buckhorn (6800’)

We will be hiking up to Shelter Rock Camp on Friday evening (gain 1K feet), then on to Camp Mystery on Saturday (gain another 2K feet) AM- from there we will day hike up to Marmot Pass (500 more feet), and on to the summit of Mt Buckhorn (850 more)-- this is a challenging climb, 3000+ feet vertical climb with a backpack more on the day hike to the summit- should not be a first time backpack outing
