5/16/2026 5:45 AM to 8:00 PM Mount Rainier Nat'l Park Day trip to Camp Muir (elevation 10,188 feet), the main climber's camp on Mount Rainier, starting from Paradise. Roughly an 8 mile round trip with over 4600 feet of elevation gain. This is a challenging trip, mostly on snow. Scouts going on this trip should have completed mountaineering training plus at least one prior climb on snow such as Mount Ellinor or Mount St. Helen's.
