OPEN HOUSE - Come look us over! GuestEvent.asp?EventID=2037 Troop 1539 will be hosting our annual open house on Monday, 30 January from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm at the VFW Hall on Central Valley Road. This is an opportunity for all Webelos (both I & II) scouts to get their troop visit requirement for their Arrow of Light and a chance for us to show our stuff. Activities will include a bonfire, dutch oven cooking and fun hands on demonstrations of scouting skills. There will be food and fun for everyone, so come and check out our troop and have a great time. Since we are preparing food, we ask that you RSVP below so we can get a head count for what has always been a very popular event- please use the link to register |

Fat Smitty's to donate walls to Charity Fat Smitty's will be removing the dollar bills from the walls and donating the proceeds to St Jude's and the Boy Scouts during their annual winter closure- The tradition of posting a dollar bill to the walls of the restaurant began shortly after the they opened 28 years ago- The troop has a tradition of eating at Fat Smitty's after a backpacking trip in the olympics- we currently have over 30 bills posted on the walls there- and in 2012 we will start the collection over again |
